During Uncertain Times, Your Steadfast Commitment is Critical!Go Back Go Back
Seniors-in-need in greater Richmond face unprecedented challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic – threats to their physical and emotional health and the devastating effects of social isolation. Some of them lacked basic necessities even prior to the pandemic. Imagine their situations now.
In the midst of hardship, YOU can change the lives of low-income seniors. Consider what this Fellowship recipient who is now living at Westminster Canterbury Richmond has to say:
“I’ve never felt as vulnerable as I did when the pandemic started spreading to people my age. For years, I’ve worried about both my health and my finances. I’d hoped I could continue supporting myself through my small social security check. We’ve all heard how seniors are at such high risk. Because of this, facing the future alone became really frightening. My health is worsening. My savings are dwindling. I have no family.
Then my pastor told me about the confidential Fellowship Program at Westminster Canterbury Richmond, and I discovered that Fellowship is for seniors like me – people who have served others but don’t have a lot financially. Through God’s grace, I qualified and just moved into this wonderful, safe and caring place. Even my healthcare needs are being met! I am so very thankful – but I worry about those who are experiencing the hardships I faced.”
You make a life-changing difference when you help older adults like this one– transforming a vulnerable life into a safe, secure life!
We need your help now more than ever to save the lives of those who have faithfully helped others. Please consider a generous gift to the Fellowship Program today. You will be providing housing, medical care, nutrition and protection from social isolation for approximately 100 seniors-in-need right here at Westminster Canterbury. Your gift to the Fellowship Program gives security and peace of mind to a neighbor who otherwise would be struggling. You make a real difference!
