At Westminster Canterbury Richmond, Recreational Therapy in the Mary Morton Parsons Health Center is intentional, outcome-based and individualized. Every activity is chosen by our staff to meet a variety of dimensions that enhance whole-person wellness.  These dimensions include cognitive, physical, creative, productive, social, sensory, reflection, natural world interaction, cultural and spiritual.

In many other Life Plan Communities, this specialized programming is only available to those who can afford it. However, because of generous donors to Westminster Canterbury Foundation, all residents in our healthcare and memory support areas have access to a wide variety of recreation therapies. These therapeutic programs greatly improve the quality of life and create joy through special “in the moment” experiences.
