SUBJECT: Point Prevalence Survey at Westminster Canterbury Richmond This Week
DATE: November 17, 2020
This week, all Westminster Canterbury Richmond residents and employees will be tested for COVID-19. On November 19, a Point Prevalence Survey (PPS) will be conducted at Westminster Canterbury in coordination with the National Guard. This will be very similar to the survey that was conducted on July 20 and 21. Per the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), “A PPS entails testing all individuals in a designated area of a facility, whether or not they have symptoms, on one day.”
We are very grateful to have the resources of the National Guard to help our team conduct this testing as we work to contain our current outbreak of COVID-19. Our team will work together with the National Guard to test all residents and employees – 100% participation is our goal. This PPS will help us learn whether we have asymptomatic residents and employees and help us determine our next steps.
The testing schedule for Independent Living is included with this memo, and specific instructions will be shared with you soon. There is no charge for the test. For Mary Morton Parsons Health Center and Assisted Living residents, teams will go door-to-door to conduct the tests. For Independent Living residents, there will be designated testing locations and a schedule to limit the number of residents being tested at one time. As always, everyone will be wearing a mask and should maintain social distancing while waiting to be tested. Employees will also receive a schedule for when their department will be tested.
We ask that Independent Living residents and employees make plans to be available for testing on November 19. If you are unable to be tested on November 19, please make a plan to be tested upon return.
• Independent Living residents may call the Clinic at ext. 6231 to schedule a time to be tested.
• Employees who are unable to be tested during the Point Prevalence Survey should be tested when they return to work. Please talk to your manager.

9-9:30 a.m.: Tower 1st Floor & Garden
9:30-10:30 a.m.: Tower 2nd Floor
10:30-11:30 a.m.: Tower 3rd Floor
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Tower 4th Floor
12:30-1:30 p.m.: Tower 5th Floor
1:30-2:30 p.m.: Tower 6th Floor
2:30-3:30 p.m.: Tower 7th Floor
3:30-4:30 p.m.: Tower 8th Floor
4:30-5 p.m.: Glebe – will be tested in their home
