We Thank You!

The season of gratitude has arrived.

Is it something about the change of the calendar from October to November that gives us a rush of gratitude? Perhaps it is the anticipation of Thanksgiving or the coming December holidays, all of which celebrate the love and joy of friends and family. We don’t say thank you enough. But we are grateful – for all that you do and all that you make possible. Here are a few examples:

  • The Sara Belle November Theater 10th Anniversary celebration continues to be a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our donors, resident participation and staff support. Performing Arts exposure is a key component of our vital living approach and strategy for all areas of living – independent living, assisted living, memory support and healthcare. And we are eternally appreciative for the beautiful love story of Sara Belle and Neil November, which resulted in the exquisite theater where the majority of our cultural events and programs are held.
  • Approximately 12 percent of Westminster Canterbury Richmond’s residents are recipients of financial aid for life care here. These residents are completely anonymous, and they receive critical needs such as housing, nutrition and medical expenses as well as the vital lifestyle shared by all residents. Your donations to the Foundation’s Fellowship Fund make this possible.
  • Our residents. You remind us every day why we are here. Your love, spirit of generosity and goodness give back tenfold. Thank you for making all of our lives so fulfilling.
  • We are also very grateful for you, our blog readers. The blog was begun about a year ago to share the vitality of life at Westminster Canterbury Richmond. We always look forward to your thoughts and suggestions. Please keep them coming.

“Growing from our roots in faith, we nurture the spirit of generosity of Westminster Canterbury Richmond.” This opening phrase of the Foundation’s mission statement says it all for us.
