FROM: John Burns, President and CEO; and Will Blackwell, Vice President Health Services
Westminster Canterbury remains committed to keeping you informed on developments related to COVID-19 in our community. We follow the latest guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH). According to the CDC, the COVID-19 Community Level for Henrico County remains high. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible to help reduce the spread of this highly transmissible variant.

Today a resident temporarily residing in Parsons Health Center tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from the hospital, bringing the total number of residents cases to four. Residents and employees will continue to be tested regularly. Thankfully, high rates of vaccination mean that most who test positive experience mild illness and recover within a few days.
