Westminster Canterbury COVID-19 Update

Westminster Canterbury remains committed to keeping you informed on developments related to COVID-19 in our community. We follow the latest guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH). According to the CDC, the COVID-19 Community Level for Henrico County remains high. Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask when social distancing is not possible to help reduce the spread of this highly transmissible variant.

Mary Morton Parsons Health Center

This weekend, a resident of Parsons Health Center First Floor North and three employees of Third Floor tested positive for COVID-19. Residents and employees will continue to be tested regularly. Visitation continues. Please note that visitors in certain areas may need to follow additional precautions such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional cleaning and infection control practices are in place.

Resident and Employee Cases of COVID-19

The following tested positive for COVID-19 and continue to recover in quarantine. All others have recovered. Anyone who may have been exposed to these individuals has been contacted.

  • A total of five Independent Living residents, including three new cases this weekend
  • A total of eight employees from the Clinic, Parsons Health Center and The Gables
