Westminster Canterbury COVID-19 Update

Westminster Canterbury Richmond is pleased that COVID-19 is having less of an impact on our community. We remain committed to providing you with updates as new cases are discovered. Westminster Canterbury follows the latest guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

Visitation

Screening prior to visiting Mary Morton Parsons Health Center and Assisted Living areas is no longer required. Visitors are asked to sign the visitor log at the nurses station in Parsons Health Center or in the lobby in The Gables, Monticello and Avalon. Everyone who enters a Healthcare area must wear a mask.

Parsons Health Center

An employee of Parsons Health Center Second Floor East tested positive for COVID-19. Residents of this area are considered exposed and are being tested regularly.

Assisted Living

In the Monticello Two household, six residents tested positive for COVID-19. All other residents in this household have been tested and continue dining and activities with social distancing and masking.

Independent Living

One resident of Independent Living tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from travel and is recovering in quarantine.

Employee Cases of COVID-19

A total of three employees from Assisted Living, Housekeeping and Parsons Health Center recently tested positive for COVID-19 and continue to recover in quarantine. Anyone who may have been exposed to these individuals has been contacted.
