Westminster Canterbury COVID-19 Update
Westminster Canterbury remains committed to keeping you informed on developments related to COVID-19 in our community. We follow the latest guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
Currently, according to the CDC, the COVID-19 Community Level for Henrico County is high. When levels are high, the CDC recommends the following: Wear a mask indoors in public and on public transportation. Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines. Get tested if you have symptoms.
Westminster Canterbury is grateful that our community of residents and staff has a high percentage of individuals who are fully vaccinated and up to date with booster vaccines. We will continue to hold events and activities as regularly scheduled. While masks will continue to be optional in Independent Living areas of our campus for fully vaccinated individuals, we support and respect those who may choose to wear masks during this period of high community levels of COVID-19. Masks are encouraged when you are unable to maintain a social distance, especially when considering whether to attend off-campus events where vaccination levels may not be as high. As a reminder, everyone who enters Mary Morton Parsons Health Center, Assisted Living, Rehab, the Clinic, Westminster Canterbury Richmond at Home and the Child Development Center is required to wear a mask at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for all you have done to keep one another safe and healthy!
