Exciting times are ahead! Active older adults like you are eagerly exploring the possibilities to be found within our new neighborhood, and since announcing this project, we’ve received a lot of specific queries seeking more details.

With this in mind, we’ve created this helpful list of frequently asked questions—along with insightful answers—so you can feel confident in moving forward by scheduling an appointment or making a fully refundable deposit to save your place in line for when it comes time to reserve a brand-new residence.

Below you’ll find answers to questions about the residences, amenities, timelines, contract types and more. For answers about daily life and amenities at Vibrancy!, we encourage you to check out part two of our FAQ.

If you’re seeking a more specific answer or just prefer to speak to someone directly, our friendly, knowledgeable team is here to help! Just reach out to us by clicking here or calling 877-277-9908. For now, let’s get into the answers about our exciting new neighborhoods!

1. What will the Vibrancy! residences be like?

The 98 brand-new residences will comprise two new neighborhoods: (1) the impressive Vitality Apartments and (2) the sought-after Village Apartments. You can learn more about all the new residences by clicking here, and you can learn what makes the Village Apartments so special by reading this article.

2. How many people are currently on the expansion waitlist?

We’ve already received more than 200 Priority Deposits and plan to receive many more. The process is designed to give you options, so don’t let the number of Priority Depositors discourage you from making a fully refundable $1,000 deposit. Depositing still grants you the best opportunity to secure one of these brand-new apartment homes!

3. If I have already made a deposit and joined the existing Westminster Canterbury Richmond waitlist (the Canterbury Club), does it automatically make me a member of the Priority Club for the new neighborhoods?

No, the waitlists are separate for now, and you can join both! This way, you have the most options and when the time comes to make a choice, you will not miss the opportunity to move to Westminster Canterbury Richmond.

4. Does my Priority Deposit transfer to another building if the new neighborhoods are full before it’s my turn to reserve?

If you don’t choose to move forward or if residences are no longer available at the expansion, your Priority Deposit will be refunded. Because demand has already been very high for the new residences, we recommend that you join the Canterbury Club as well to ensure that all your bases are covered.

5. How do I make a Priority Deposit, and how much is it?

You can make your fully refundable Priority Deposit by clicking here or calling us at 877-277-9908. A $1,000 deposit secures your place in line to make you among the first to choose one of the 98 brand-new residences at our new neighborhoods.

6. What contract types will be offered?

Several resident agreements are available, including Life Care and varying refundability levels. Contact our team to get the specific details.

7. When will the new neighborhoods be built and ready for move-in?

We don’t have a confirmed timeline yet for when we expect to complete construction; however, if you are making plans for the future—at no risk—now is the time to secure your place in line. Once we break ground, you can expect that the project will be completed about two years from then.

We encourage you to keep an eye on our Facebook page and blog page for updates, and you can also sign up to receive the latest information by filling out the form on this page. It’s important to note that Priority Depositors are the first ones to get our updates!

8. Which organization is the sponsor of this project?

The sponsor of the expansion is Westminster Canterbury Richmond, which is owned and operated by Westminster Canterbury Corporation, a not-for-profit entity that was founded by the Episcopal and Presbyterian churches to help older adults maintain their independence and well-being. A volunteer board of trustees guides the organization in achieving its mission.

9. What is the accrediting organization for this project? In other words, how can I be sure that Vibrancy! will offer the highest quality of service and care?

Westminster Canterbury Richmond is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. CARF certification requirements are more stringent than any state or federal guidelines, so our voluntary participation in the CARF accreditation processes—as well as full compliance with all local, state and federal requirements—provides peace of mind for the future.

10. So, what’s the next step?

Make a Priority Deposit, of course! Your best opportunity to secure your place at our exciting community expansion is to place a fully refundable deposit. And if there’s a question not answered here, remember to check out our FAQ part two or contact us by clicking here or calling 877-277-9908. We look forward to hearing from you!
